COMEDY

RENAISSANCE - The literate and hilarious life and times of Leonardo da Vinci.

Welcome to 15th Century Italy. You are invited to join Leonardo da Vinci, Machiavelli, Savonarola, Michelangelo and other monumental shapers of history in an interweaving and deviously plotted tell-all tale of political overthrow, religious fervor, creative genius, romantic intrigue, the Mona Lisa and the flowering of an era - and one man - into Humanism.

And sex, of course.

SIGNIFICANT OTHER - A romantic comedy for single women.

Violet, fed-up with her philandering boyfriend’s lies, decides to get even where it hurts most: She tells him she's pregnant. But after agreeing to let her best friend secretly film her 9-month charade for a reality TV show, while simultaneously avoiding her explosively vengeful father, she's soon in over her head.

What ensues is a laugh-out-loud slapstick odyssey through the war of the sexes, as Violet finds herself becoming a martyr. Getting even with all men. For all women.

SIGNIFICANT OTHER draws from over 100 transcribed pages of actual hilarious overheard conversations.

DRAMA

FIRE BELL IN THE NIGHT - Pre-Civil War action-filled yarn about the Underground Railroad from the unique perspective of a young white woman; narrow escapes, midnight rides, courtroom dissension, and clashing beliefs.

FREE AGAIN: LA LUPE'S STORY - Before Janis Joplin. Before Madonna. There was La Lupe. True story of the larger-than-life controversial Latin diva who embodied uninhibited expression.

** Top 10 Finalist - 2003 Latin USA Film Festival **

HORROR

ABSOLUTION: THE TED ROTH STORY - Based on the controversial novel by Edmund Hulton, ABSOLUTION is a grisly and dark page-turner chronicling the life of a nice quiet man whose reaction to betrayal is... butchery.

** Quarter-Finalist - Slamdance Screenplay Competition 2006**

"I killed my best friend Charlie with a knife. He was eleven. I was ten."

Thus begins the raw and uncensored narrative recollection with Ted's first shocking, childhood slaughter of his best friend in Catholic school. It continues through the mutilation of the first girl he ever loved in high school. Both betrayed him. And they were just the beginning.  An autobiographic diary of the evolution of Ted's psychopathic maturation, ABSOLUTION presents a chilling and unblinking look at a model citizen's tormented and troubled mind.

The last person anyone would suspect, Ted progresses through life, raises a family, and flourishes in business, political, and social circles. Then, one day, his sordid past and considerable pernicious talents are discovered by a secret, right-wing organization. Ted is blackmailed and presented with two choices: assassinate the President of the United States, or be publicly exposed for the atrocities he has committed. His choice leads to a penultimate twist and an inevitable conclusion.

ABSOLUTION is an unforgettable fable of violent horror and revenge/justice, bordering on black parody.

SUSPENSE/THRILLER

BLUE RIDGE - A twisted noir.

2007 Script Savvy Screenplay Competition says:

"The story moves really fast, hooks us from the beginning with a truly engrossing opening sequence. Writer has a distinct style and a full understanding of the noir genre. It's a real page-turner.

"
Act One sets up the conflict in a crystal clear fashion and has us caring about the protagonist and rooting for him. Protagonist Jim is an incredibly compelling character. He's the victim of a terrible injustice at a young age and we meet him years later, a man bent on revenge. The twist at pg 76 is excellent. We honestly didn't see it coming."

A handsome young stranger, Jim Cole, arrives in the idyllic town of Blue Ridge, Georgia. What the unsuspecting town doesn't know is that Jim is on a single-minded mission of bloody vengeance against their mayor who framed him for manslaughter nine years ago, and the mayor's son, town sheriff, who murdered his sister.

Jim proceeds with a deadly plan of blackmail and execution.

Then, unexpectedly, conflict walks into his life in the form of a beautiful young schoolteacher, Peggy. What begins as a bar pickup soon becomes, Jim realizes, something much deeper.

Love? A new start? The life Jim has always dreamed of?

Yet Jim has vowed to exorcise his pain and stay true to his mission of vengeance. To avenge his sister's death and his nine years of imprisonment - then get out of Blue Ridge.

What happens next escalates from grisly violence to shocking twists.

Layered with suspense and irony, murder and sex, BLUE RIDGE combines a theme of vengeance and moral ambiguity with the appeal of a keeps-you-guessing-to-the-last-page thriller. In noir tradition, it is a closed and intimate scenario with few characters/locations, and an unforgettable story.

TAKE A LOOK - A young woman, a detective and a Hollywood action star are caught in a shocking web of suspense when an L. A. surgeon secretly implants a camera in the actor's eye to eavesdrop on his sex exploits... but sees more than he bargained for. An intense psychosexual thriller.

By night she tries to sort out a troubled relationship with her detective boyfriend - whose police investigation of a local Peeping Tom turns obsessive as it escalates to a series of grisly murders targeting beautiful young
women.

Surreptitiously the doctor watches the moviestar's sex life through the camera-eye. But what he sees becomes unstoppable horror... revealing a psychopath... and making Kelly the next target.
